Socioeconomics
Socioeconomics is all about how society and economy interact. It’s where we explore how people’s behavior, cultures, and social structures influence, and are influenced by, economic trends. This encompasses a diverse range of topics including wealth distribution, social mobility, economic inequality, and the role of institutions in shaping economic behavior.
This section will use Data Science, Data Analysis, & Data Visualization Techniques to examine the causes and effects of unequal wealth and income distribution within and between societies, study the movement of individuals or groups within the social hierarchy and the factors that facilitate or hinder this mobility, understand how cultural beliefs and practices impact economic decision-making and policies, investigate how institutions (like governments, markets, and legal systems) affect economic performance and social welfare, and much more.
