Notebooks & Development Environments
Notebooks are Web-based applications used to write code combined with Markdown and visualizations. Development Environments are workspaces with sets of predefined tools used to develop software. Depending on the programming language, there are different notebooks & development environments available tailored for specific cases. Notebooks such as Jupyter are used broadly in Data Science since code can be divided into blocks, and outputs for each block are generated & statically saved upon execution; by using checkpoints, one can open a notebook and pick up right where one left off.
This section will discuss the currently available notebooks, their set-up and configuration, and how to use them.
